PLA refers to “Portuguese Lingua de Acolhimento,” which means Portuguese language course. Based on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR), PLA helps its applicants at A1-A2 and B1-B2 levels in Portuguese.

How Long Will It Take to Receive the A2 Level Portuguese Language Certificate?

Each student’s learning journey is different; however, it will typically take 150 hours to complete the course.

Can I Use Your A2 Level Portuguese Language Certificate in My Permanent Residency or Citizenship Application?

Yes, you can use your certificate instead of the CIPLE, Portuguese language test for citizenship.

How Many People are in One Group of Lessons?

Our classes typically consist of 20 people at most. However, we can schedule a different program depending on your needs. For instance, if you are going to take a language certificate with your family, we can create a course plan.

If I Complete the A2 Level Course Successfully, Do I Still Have to Take the CIPLE (Nationality Exam)?

No, you do not have to take the Portuguese Language Test (CIPLE) on condition that you get your A2 level certificate from a recognized course provider.

Which Documents are Required for the PLA Course Application?

In your application, you must present the following documents:
– Proof of application for residence extension or permit renewal
– Proof of request for international or temporary protection
– Proof of Social Security Number (NISS) issuance
